A For-Profit Company Tries to Solve the VA Backlog

An Iraq veteran's company uses extensive research and development to ensure veterans get the help they need.

Adam Renteria went undiagnosed with PTS and moderate traumatic brain injury when he returned from combat in 2003. As he struggled to transition into civilian life, he's became determined to help other veterans do the same.

Many veterans rely on nonprofits to help navigate the VA, but the backlog of claims could result in long wait times and little action. Renteria's for-profit company, Valiant VA Claims Services, helps vets push claims to the top of list.
