Every Little Thing
Every living thing that inhabits the planet is interconnected and part of something greater -- the Earth's ecosystem. As rampant biodiversity loss continues, we risk losing the tenuous balance of the system and the extinction of entire plant and animal populations.
All is not lost, however. At least not yet. According to Pulitzer Prize-winning scientist Edward O. Wilson, there is even room for cautious optimism. But we must act quickly.
So how can we reverse these effects? Here is a wish list of seven things that scientists agree need to happen for us to fight biodiversity loss on all fronts. And check out the above video to see how much of the world has been affected and ways we can get involved.
