Hamish Jenkinson Creates Arts-Education Opportunities for Kids in Need

One fortunate young man uses his connections for good.

Any great culture is really defined by its arts. Culture brings us together and unites us.

Hamish Jenkinson wears many hats: Director of the Old Vic Tunnels, Creative Director for the UEFA Champions League, and Executive Assistant to actor Kevin Spacey. However, that hasn’t stopped him from taking on another role: Global Ambassador for Free the Children. As he told Free the Children founder Craig Keilberger upon meeting him for the first time, “It’s a self-appointed role and there’s nothing you can do about it.” Now he will be going to 65 schools this year teaching children how they can get involved in philanthropy. Having spent several years working with The Kevin Spacey Foundation—which supports young actors, writers, and directors wanting to succeed in film and theater—he’s already developed a passion for creating arts-education opportunities. “Any great culture is really defined by its arts. Culture brings us together and unites us.”
