New app SketchFactor alerts pedestrians to potentially dangerous neighborhoods. SketchFactor is built on individuals' personal opinions, making it likely to be biased and full of racist assumptions.

While the intention of the app may have been ensuring pedestrian safety, Veronica Belmont points out that it amounts to real-time racial profiling.
