Epidemiologist Anne Rimoin researches infectious diseases and works to develop containment strategies. (You can see a slideshow of her in action in the Democratic Republic of Congo here.) In West Africa 467 people have died from the Ebola virus this year, but medication isn't the only problem.

Rimoin breaks down the importance of infrastructure in combating this epidemic and the risks the virus poses to Americans.
