The statistics on high school drop out rates in the United States are staggering, with up to 6,700 students dropping out of school every day.  Such alarming facts need recognition in order for the problem to receive awareness.

  • Enrollment - It is now estimated that high school drop out rates have risen to nearly 50 percent in the top 50 U.S. states. Accordingly, 1.2 million kids drop out of school each year.
  • Achievement - There are in fact differences in the kind of diploma granted at high school graduation.
  • Commencement - Some states do not properly report the number of high school students who graduate.
