Teaching Quality in Education Reform

Comment from the contributor:

In education reform, it is important to address the major goals of improving schools in the United States: providing more accurate standards for students, advancing teacher quality, and renovating the lowest-performing schools. In pursuing education reform, there is also the chance that outlying socio-economic problems will be addressed, yielding large returns in other areas such as health and employment rates.

Some education leaders blame the "Summer Slide" for lagging grades come fall, while some question whether grades and test scores have any relevance in a child's learning curve.

And the comparison between private, public and charter schools helps to shed light on the ways that education reform can affect a child's schooling.
