From The New York Times --
Malnourishment, although mainly a problem in Third World countries with scarce food supplies, even those where famine isn't particularly a problem, and can be prevented through better-educating parents on how to feed their children. Malnutrition under the age of 2 years old can cause irreversable physical and cognitive damage and should be avoided at all costs.
