Even though it's preventable, malaria is still deadly to thousands every year. It's killing a child every 30seconds, which means by the time you finish reading this, several children will have been lost to a preventable illness.
Money is lost to the disease as well. Countries with malaria typically have lower gross domestic product than their malaria-free counterparts because of lost time at work and the cost of treatment. Cheap by Western standards, treatment is still unaffordable to many. Learn what Norway is doing to lessen the cost.
