From Suburban Emergency Management Project -- Currently there is a large debate as to whether Hezbollah is a terrorist organization or legitimate political party. It is an Islamic political party, but It's structure is unlike that of secular political parties, and much about its operations remains largely unknown. It is funded in large by Iran, and it's military is comprised of reinforcement as well as combat troops. There are an estimated 5,000 - 20,000 active fighters, and 200,000 members.
