Israel continues its blockade of the Gaza Strip. Since Hamas gained control of the small strip of land in 2007, Israel has instated blockades, preventing the flow of supplies in and out of the region. While the intention is to cut off Hamas from much needed supplies, often, the population of 1.5 million civilians suffer. While over 75% depend on food from the UN, this poses a difficult humanitartion situation.
