Gerard Prunier, renowned Africa scholar, has come out again with an in-depth book that isn't afraid to lay bare the connections between Rwanda and the current conflict in Congo. Jefffey Gettleman's review touches on some of the highlights of Prunier's work, such as the perfect storm in 1998: "a dying dictator; the end of the cold war; Western guilt; and a tough, suspicious, postgenocide, Israel-like Rwanda, whose national ethos, simply stated, was Never Again." This is one book review, and subsequently expose on Rwanda's culpability in the Congo conflict, that is a must-read.
