The Informant! is based on the true story of Mark Whitacre, the highest-ranking corporate whistleblower in U.S. history, who exposed agri-industry giant Archer Daniels Midland's multi-national price-fixing conspiracy to the FBI. The Social Action Campaign for The Informant! examines the topic of whistle-blowing through webinars focused on business ethics, the role of government, protection for the public, and case studies of famous whistleblowers whose action exposed corporate corruption or resulted in precedent-setting laws and the corporations or entities whose practices they challenged.
