Shine a Light On the United States Defense Budget

The National Defense Authorization Act is passed by Congress each year to define the Department of Defense budget—a big responsibility, as 2013’s budget totaled $662 billion.

The Senate votes and deliberates behind closed doors, unlike the House, which remains transparent throughout the process. With so much money on the line, voters have the right to know the fund appropriation before the final vote is revealed.

Sign the petition to open the NDAA by making the Senate Armed Services Committee at least as transparent as the House Armed Services Committee.
