Nature is full of gorgeous animals. It’s easy to fall in love with, say, an adorable baby snow leopard. He’s so cute and endangered! Who wouldn’t want to save this guy? But nature has plenty of less-than-attractive misfits that need just as much support.
Take this endangered sunda pangolin, for example. He’s indigenous to Southeast Asia and hunted for the mythical healing powers of his scales. So what if he has weird little claws and looks like he’s wearing artichokes? He needs our help!
It’s said that big cute animals attract 500 times more conservation cash than ugly endangered animals, which are equally important to maintaining Earth’s biodiversity and ecological homeostasis. Who knows? Their DNA could hold the key to curing a pandemic or making the next antibiotic. Take a look and take action!
