Shiitake are an incredibly healthy food because they contain an array of B vitamins and numerous minerals. Shiitake mushrooms have a major impact on your immune system as they help macrophages (cancer-killing cells) function better. They are packed with B2, B3, B5, and B6 vitamins, making them a great source of energy, and an important influencer of DNA functions and neurotransmitters. Shitake mushrooms also have significant amounts of manganese, fiber, potassium, selenium, zinc, and copper.
