Participants and organizers of the ongoing Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City have complained—on social media sites—about a lack of coverage in the mainstream media. Occupy Wall Street's feelings of being ignored and marginalized may have some merit. Globally, however, this burgeoning U.S. movement for change is hardly the lead story.

Protesting corruption is a way of being conscious, and taking life and society seriously. This protest is no doubt futile, but meaningful for those involved. Personally, I would be more interested in a conversation w/ someone willing to put themselves on the line like this than someone who just hopes somehow things will improve.
