Avoiding super sugary drinks like soda, which can contain as many as 200 calories in a single can, is the simplest way to make your holiday beverages a healthy part of your feast.
For kids, juice is the obvious substitute for soft drinks, but staying away from bubbles doesn't completely solve the sugar problem. So take the same approach as you do with snacks: Look for organic brands and stay away from high-fructose corn syrup. Also, pay attention to the serving size, because many drink containers base the nutritional information on a miniscule glass of juice.
