Are you among the 40 percent of Americans who suffer from seasonal allergies? If you are, then the arrival of spring and early summer is a double-edged sword. On one hand, away go the coats, sweaters and boots, and out come the tank tops, sunglasses and flip-flops. On the other hand, spring brings with it pollen, which can have us sneezing and wheezing nonstop.
It’s here that you might expect a sales pitch for some kind of prescription or over-the-counter wonder drug—a pill that will take all that misery away. But would you believe us if we told you that certain foods—healthy, real food—can be just as effective as medication in combating and curing seasonal allergies?
