While still getting its legs under it (get it?), Six Foods will, at full build-out, create “healthy, sustainable and delicious foods from insects.” But more than that, the Cambridge, Mass.–based start-up wants to get people thinking differently about food made from insects.
“We know that perceptions can change,” cofounder Laura D’Asaro told The Boston Globe in November. “Lobsters used to be fed to prisoners, and people used to think eating raw fish was disgusting, but now both of those things are delicacies.”
