It’s not always easy for students to land a job within their field of study after college.
Today, 37 percent of recent college graduates are in jobs that require no more than a high school diploma, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. And 7.9 percent of recent college grads are out of a job altogether, reports Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce.
So, before choosing a field of study, it’s probably worthwhile for students and parents to check out Georgetown’s list of the majors that have the highest and lowest unemployment.
