At the beginning of every month I look forward to one thing--seeing what amazing flavors Shake Shack comes up with for their monthly custard calendar. There is rarely a flavor that disappoints and you have the added bonus of knowing that you are not only eating tasty custard but that you are also supporting a super sustainable business. The custard calendar is below but first check out the specific ways that Shake Shack is working with and not against the environment with the series I did this past summer called Green Custard, Sustainable Shack:
Green Custard, Sustainable Shack: The Power of Wind
Green Custard, Sustainable Shack: Fueling French Fries and More
Green Custard, Sustainable Shack: Composting and Building
Custard Calendar November 2009
Monday = PUMPKIN PIE
Tuesday = MEYER LEMON
Wednesday = CRANBERRY CINNAMON
Thursday = BUTTERED PECAN
Friday = APPLE CIDER
Saturday = BISCOTTI
Sunday = SHACK SHIRAZ POACHED PEAR
YUM!
I personally can't wait for the Pumpkin Pie, the Meyer Lemon and the Shack Shiraz Poached Pear. Hopefully I'll find time to try the Pumpkin Pie today and maybe update this post with a picture or two - stay tuned!
