Families are stronger when they are together, and research shows that their presence helps a sick child heal faster and cope better. While Ronald McDonald House Charities® cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, we can help lessen the burden and ensure families have the stability and resources to keep their child healthy and happy.
The Ronald McDonald House® allows families to access specialized medical treatment by providing a place to live near the hospital at little to no cost. When a child is sick, parents need a team of support to help their child recover. RMHC® wants to give children the best chance of recovering - and that means having family nearby for love and support. On September, 29, 2010 the 300th Ronald McDonald House in the world will open.
Our Ronald McDonald Family Room® offers a place for families to rest and regroup right at the hospital, just steps from their sick child. There are over 150 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in 16 countries.
Our Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles are clinics on wheels that offer affordable health care for children, right in their own neighborhood. Currently, forty state-of the art vehicles deliver medical, dental and health education services to more than 150,000 children a year.
