Natasha Richardson and AMFAR

News about Natasha Richardson has been all over the internet for the past day and half - with lots of rumors, false information and assumptions. I am going to wait to comment on her condition until official word is released but I wanted to go ahead and write about something really great that she did this past winter.  She appeared on an episode of Top Chef where the chefs catered a fundraiser for AMFAR - The Foundation for AIDS research.  Richardson has been fighting against AIDS since her father, director Tony Richardson, died of AIDS-related causes. On Top Chef she served as a guest judge and as the hostess for the charity event - giving a great speech about the importance of making sure that every life counts. On the episode she showed a lot of class and grace (unlike most of the media at this moment) while raising awareness about a very important cause. Go HERE to watch/listen to her AMFAR speech and instead of reading the tabloids why not takepart and learn how you can support AMFAR.
