Photo of the Day: It's Bullet Season in Darfur

Darfur rebel groups continue to clash with the Sudanese government over specifics of stalled peace talks, which is why more bullets seem to be planted in the ground than food staples—such as sorghum, millet, beans and tomatoes.

The hope is that peace will take hold before this boy is old enough to load his scavenged ammunition into a rifle and shoot his neighbors.
