Craig Smith was in a snow-shoveling quandary. An inch of powder wasn’t worth firing up his eight-horsepower snow thrower. At the same time, shoveling his 90-foot driveway by hand was a non-starter.
So the Milwaukeean put on his thinking cap and his tool belt, and built himself a DIY bike snowplow.

Originally submitted to Make: Technology on Your Time, a website devoted to DIY tech projects, Smith’s bike-plow is a standard 10-speed mountain bike fitted with a steering wheel and wooden plow protruding from the front of an attached third wheel.
