On Sunday—10/10/10—more than 75,000 folks from more than 180 countries participated in 10:10 and 350.org's  Global Work Party.

Individuals, schools and companies pitched in on a campaign to slash greenhouse gas emissions 10 percent in a single year.

Work party activities included tree planting, trash collecting, repairing bikes and installing solar panels.

"People are discouraged, but they are taking out their frustrations in action," 350.org's co-founder Bill McKibben told AFP.  "They have decided that we are going to have to show our leaders what leadership looks like."

I'm so glad more people are paying attention to environmental causes, now only if people would start paying attention to the situation in Darfur! There's a movie coming out soon called Attack on Darfur that it supposed to be really emotionally powerful depiction of what's going on there. I hope everyone takes the time to watch it because human rights causes, along with the environment are so important and need to get more attention.
