We address the problem of the “missing middle” or current gap in the microfinance sector by providing micro-businesses with expansion capital, along with the necessary resources and best practices, to scale their businesses. InVenture raises this capital through our online investment platform, which empowers individuals to learn about and become a part of the fight against poverty.
A key criteria for the microfinance beneficiaries is that they have to reinvest 5% back into the community for a local health, water or education initiative. We believe this reinvestment can be a catalyst for a positive feedback cycle - growing a community through a business, while expanding a business through a community. Through InVenture's flexible financing and resources, our InVestors help to unleash the potential of the micro-businesses they invest in, enabling these business owners to become engines for job creation and economic growth within their own communities.
