In response to the largest environmental disaster in the history of the United States, People For Love, Truth & Healing of the Gulf Coast Ecosystems was formed. The nonprofit group is a conservation project of the 501(c)3, The Habitat Trust for Wildlife. The group social networks on Facebook and is listed under Causes and as a Group.
Staying positive, the group members researches and shares information on anything that sheds the TRUTH on the Gulf of Mexico's environment -- especially resulting from the BP Oil Disaster. Group members are individuals from around the world and people living in the Gulf States.
The Group is united in the following positions -
BAN THE USE OF COREXIT "Oil Dispersants" in the United States. These poisons have been banned in the UK and other EU countries for over a decade.
BAN ALL OFF-SHORE OIL DRILLING. There is no "safe" way of drilling. The risks to the environment and local economics is too great. NO JOBS ON A DEAD PLANET.
POLLUTER PAYS for all ecological, economic and health impacts.
RESTORE ALL COASTAL & MARINE NATURAL COMMUNITIES using sound science, not politics.
DEFEND & RECOVER ENDANGERED SPECIES listed under State and/or federal Endangered Species Acts.
Educate the public, media and politicians, useing best scientific information available. Support scientific research, studies, including gathering evidence (truth) through photographic/videographic methods.
Support NON-VIOLENT Rallies, Protests and Civil Disobedience to raise attention to Gulf needs
