I have just finished watching this movie and felt it did a wonderful job of evoking an emotional response (and I'm not the kind of guy who gets mushy much). I have read Pollan's books, Schlossers, and would like to recommend that you also read Jonathon Foer's "Eating Animals" Wonderful read, as were the aforementioned. My wife and I have already made the decision to be very careful when it comes to purchasing our food. This movie just cemented what we already knew to be an issue of massive proportions. I just hope that this helps people feel empowered!

Great documentary. It summarizes the key issues explained in Eric Schlosser's and Michael Pollan's books.
I posted a detailed review at http://dumky.posterous.com/food-inc-2008

I saw this last night and am so moved to be a part of the change. I plan to buy the DVD to show as many friends and family that I can to evoke them as well. on-sale at amazon.com.

This film opened my eyes to how much a sheep nation we are in. We are being led by big nusiness in the direction they want. We are no longer animals of free thought or decision. Those of us who do stand up become quickly silenced by the corporate machine and used as an example to prevent others who may have the strength and courage to stand up and say I will no longer be led but will decide. I will never touch another piece of fast or processed food. i will support local farms and markets and will no longer spend my hard earned dollar in an industry designed to kill rather than nurture myself and my family all for a dollar. I encourage others to see this film and have their eyes opened.
