Prince of Persia: Upcoming Movie Trailerrow,

For some reason I've always kind of associated Jake Gyllenhaal with nerdiness. Maybe it's because I adore him in Zodiac so much but whatever the reason I've never pictured him as an action star, especially one with long hair.  Even in his last big budget disaster/action film, The Day After Tomorrow (awesome global warming-esque flick), he was kind of a dork (in the best possible way).

I have to say that while the trailer below for Prince of Persia doesn't wow me, I think it will actually be a pretty good film.  The Disney name tells me that the film is gearing up to be more of a Pirates of the Caribbean than maybe a Gladiator--and if Prince is aiming to be light hearted and fun with some good visuals it might just succeed!

If anything Jake G. is sure proving himself to be charismatic.  Although I personally can't wait for his holiday turn in the film Brothers.
