This past Saturday was the International Day of Climate Action organized by 350.org, when people from 181 countries gathered at 5,200 events worldwide to call for serious action and bold leadership for the climate crisis.  Photographs and videos of the day's events continue to be sent in by participants, and the beautiful and inspirational images give me hope that as a united planet we can turn the tide on climate change.

You'll notice the number 350 appears in all of the images because leading climate scientists agree that if we can reduce the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide to 350 parts per million, we can avert a climate disaster.

Go check out the amazing photos on the 350.org Flickr photostream, which includes images sent from students from western Massachusetts to divers in the Maldives.  The first batch of photos have been delivered to Janoz Pazstor, the head of UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon's Climate Support Team, and representatives from 350.org will be attending the climate sessions in Barcelona next week to share the images and global message.  While Saturday's events were a huge success, the fight is not over, so use the action link below to find out how you can get involved and check out the video below of 350.org co-founder Bill McKibben for some inspiration:
