Burning The Future: Coal In America (Trailer)
Burning The Future: Coal in America, a documentary from director David Novak, investigates the raging conflict between the coal industry and residents of West Virgina. By examining the devastating health and environmental risks created by mining, the film debunks the myth of "clean coal." Just by watching the trailer, the film looks to be terribly upsetting, yet very inspirational, and considering today is the International Day of Climate Action, the film is a great jumping off point to discuss combating climate change and reducing our dependency on fossil fuels.
Watch the trailer below and use the action link to find out what you can do to get involved. And if you happen to be in New York City tomorrow, I strongly urge you to attend the screening of the film, which will be followed by a panel discussion with the director, along with Dina Elkin from Solar One and Judy Harper of GreenEdge NYC.
