3. Twitter wine
After spending a week at my aunt's winery, I realized that a lot goes into a single bottle. The new Fledgling Initiative is putting a lot more into a bottle than a bunch of grapes and some love: they're using proceeds to help Room to Read. For every case sold, approximately 60 local language children's books will be given out to promote literacy in the world's poorest regions.
4. YouTube videos are the new political process
Relief and rehabilitation never looked so viral... The Click Initiative: a video challenge to Phillipine presidential candidates. For every view on this video, they donate a portion from their campaign money to the victims of the Ondoy typhoon. With a little under 2,500 views, spread the word. (via Osocio)
