David Duchovny Gets Green With Extreme Home Makeover
Everytime I watch Extreme Home Makeover I sob. The show is so darn touching. Recently the show helped Philip Stott and his wife Joey who live on an organic farm with their three children. In 2004 Joey was diagnoised with acute myeloid leukemia causing the family to spend all its money to pay for Joey's successful bone marrow transplant. In the midst of dealing with that hardship, more drama struck when their home burst into flames. Since then, the family of five has been living in a one-bedroom trailer behind the barn. So Ty Pennington and a construction crew of almost 2,000 are building the family a new house in the span of one week.
And to help green things up a bit more, David Duchovny will lend his eco-friendly expertise to the Extreme Home Makeover team. MyStateline.com reports: “The star of X-Files and Californication helped the crew with the Stott’s organic garden. Duchovny prides himself on living an eco-friendly lifestyle, and the Stott’s home was rebuilt to include a lot of green elements.”
A new season of Extreme Home Makeover starts September 27, 7pm on ABC.
