Finding Inspiration and Humanity in Advertisements

I admittedly have not many giallo films,  a genre of mostly Italian cinema that centers on horror and eroticism.  I need to see more Dario Argento films (one of the genre's masters) but often find it hard to get into the mood to watch women be butchered and displayed as objects, even if it is OK cinematically.  By this I mean that I don't look down on the films but simply find it hard to devote 2 hours to that specific content.

What do you think? Is this a genre you can get down with?

I think this looks kind of awesome in some ways, I love the whole murder mystery where the detective is more than meets the eye.  But I could do without the carved up ladies.
