thanks for making this movie. Back in the day (1993,) I mentioned to my supervisor at a major agri-business that vertical integration was about control of food and that it was inherently wrong, evil and un-American. He responded with "we don't pay you to care." I have since reformed and am working in the urban gardening revolution
When is it comming to Thailand ?
First off I want to say that what I saw of your film in the trailer, I'm very pleased with. This message needs to be yelled from every mountain top in America. We are slowly, and sometimes quickly, killing ourselves; and believing that large companies have our best intrests at heart.
I would rather the money being talked about being spent on "Nationalized Health Care" be spent on education and awarness programs in schools. I think if people ate healthier, then health care costs would plummit.
Having said all this in support of your movie, I would like to address something I saw in the trailer. Please, PLEASE don't turn this into a political thing. Bush is NOT any more at fault for this mess than the Democratic house, senate, or President. While Bush was President, the House and the Senate were controlled by the Dems, they didn't do things ANY better.
Monsanto is moving right now to push bills through to improve their position HR 875, introduced by the wife of a Monsanto employee. They are doing it NOW because they now a Dem Congress and Senate is "Soft" and ripe for the picking. Again, Please don't make this political, it's SO much bigger than that.
What you introduce and what you propose is our very LIVES. Thank you again for producing a great film.
I am on travel and sadly missed the last #FoodInc chat and will also have to bow out of this one. But I am intensely interested (esp. having seen the movie last night at the Slow Food Portland event). I would like to see a sequel focusing more on the packaged goods industry and the impact of the "food" that comes in boxes, bags, and cans. Thanks for the provocative documentary.
