New Michael Moore Doc Takes on Wall Street
On October 2nd Michael Moor's take on the economic crisis will enter movie theaters. I have mixed feelings on Moore. On one hand he brings important issues (gun control, the Bush administration, health care) to light but on the other hand he always goes overboard and ends up preaching to choir.
I have long wished that Michael Moore would take a step back and make his films a little less over the top in order to perhaps convince some people that don't already believe in the same things he does. Moore is a talented filmmaker and if he toned it down just a little bit I think his work would be a lot more affective.
Being that Moore is calling the current economic crisis "the biggest swindle in American history" I don't think his new film is going to be any less rambunctious. Hopefully though it gets people riled up to the point where they are actually ready to do something. That is never a bad thing.
And to get you in the Moore spirit give a watch to the trailer for Bowling for Columbine, perhaps my fav Moore film.
