Tax Day Tea Party: Conservatives Protest Stimulus Plan
Tax Day Tea Party is quickly approaching, a nationwide rally to protest President Obama's handling of the economic crisis and the proposed stimulus package, where irate conservatives will whine the streets to complain about the "out of control spending". Oh, I'm sorry, did I say "whine" the streets? I guess that should be "line" the streets, but honestly, give the guy a break, he's working hard to make the best of a terrible situation, and now is not the time to be divisive.
And did they really have to tarnish ACDC's music for your theme song? I'm all for open dialogue and expressing your desire for responsible government, but a tea party protest? As I'm no economist, I will resist pointing fingers at the conservative policies that helped to get us into this mess, if conservatives will admit that they are not the innocent party they claim to be. The Silent Majority? Hardly.

I love how borrow and spend conservatives who cheered through decades of massive deficits by the Bush and Reagan Administrations all of a sudden are so concerned about debt, just when the effects of their cherished deregulation have born fruit in the form of a failed economy. I'm happy for anyone to peaceably voice their opinions. But be honest, or at least be informed about what you're protesting about.
One of the many things that happens to be right about America, is that we have rights...those rights that were exercised yesterday at the TAX DAY...TEA Party happen to be the voice of many unhappy Americans. Wake up people...anyone with children and grandchildren under the direction we are heading can only lead to one thing...a hole that is dug so deep, that our children and their children to come will never see daylight...

Both article and comments to it so far lead me to believe that none of you have really READ what the TEA'd Party is all about! No one's 'whining' or 'picking on Obama' in general! The whole point is TEA stands for "Taxed Enough Already" and is a grass roots movement to show The White House, Senate and Congress that there are massive numbers of people who CARE about the decisions they make; citizens who CAN read (which is more than most of the legislators who voted for the stimulus package as it stands worded apparently did)! Those who are TEA'd are simply stating their desire that our 'leaders' think things through, especially about the cost to future Americans, that they be wise in their choices and true to the American tradition of liberty and having independence of effort permitted to result in success without unwarranted governmental control or unbalanced taxation.
