So the results are in..

*Thinner laptop casings made from aluminum

*"Multitouch" track pad

*The existing version of the entry-level MacBook is under 1,000 dollars

*Graphic Chips from Nvidia Corp

What do you think - was Apple's laptop announcement cool enough to get you excited?

Personally I am a little upset at the firewire situation on the MacBook Pro.   People who need a MacBook Pro need firewire options and the new version is lacking (with just one 800 port - I could not plug in any of my hardrives were I to buy a new MacBook pro today).

No matter what you think, takepart to get started learning about e-waste - since buying a new laptop usually means getting rid of an old one.

A firewire 800 to 400 adapter costs around 20$, so you will indeed still be able to use a firewire 400 drive on the new MBP (would have liked if they had kept the dedicated firewire 400 port though)
