Young Filmmakers Focus Cameras on Homelessness

Budding filmmakers raised their voices and focused their cameras on the issue of homelessness for the VOX 4 Film Festival held this month in Barrington, IL. As part of a special screening program Participant Media created with Willow Creek Church for THE SOLOIST, the youth ministry planned a film festival around the screening on April 19.

High school students were asked to create and submit short films that reflected their views on homelessness. The two winning films were featured at THE SOLOIST screening and can be viewed below. The winning entries are THE VAGABOND by Christian Andrick, 16, and A DAY IN THE LIFE by Emma Haney & Marian Jorda, both 15.
