What do the American people know, or think about, President Abraham Lincoln and his legacy? To understand the answer to this question, Participant did a survey of the general population in the Fall of 2012. And some of the results are surprising - covering such topics as Lincoln's role in ending slavery, to perspectives on what hot button issues Lincoln might address today, to whom he might have voted for in the 2012 presidential election. The study shows that there is great interest – and need – to help Americans learn more about the man, his presidency, and the legacy of the 16th President of the United States.
