Watched this the other night and was utterly disgusted by these people and more so the japanese politicians who protect them! I have never been so moved in my life and would like to do anything i can to try and stop this slaughter of these innocent intelligent beings! Will do what i can to help. Keep up the fight!

Thank you so much for making this movie. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to watch, however it may have been one of the most important things for me to have seen. Watching this brought me to tears, not just for the amazing beings being slaughtered but also for humans. I sense now that there is very little hope for our species to evolve beyond its brutal and sadistic nature. This slaughter must be stopped at all costs and I am willing to do whatever I can to help make that possible.

I think the problem can be solved by killing the demand ... although it is hard. Just like the Shark Fin problem... If we can get everyone to STOP watching dolphin shows in aquarias worldwide, the industry will be gone and thus the capturing... ditto for dolphin meat. Like any illegal trade (animals, drugs, etc, etc) as long as there is demand, there will be supplies. The key is to reduce the demand drastically, then go in and stop the remaining suppliers. If you stop 1 slaughter site, and demand is still there, another location will spring up.

In honor of Flipper (Kathy), and in respect to this ordeal in Taiji, I believe it is no coincidence, that the two peaks in the background of the cove (in the secret surveillance tapes), VERY MUCH SO resemble two dolphins coming up to the surface for air. If you watch the cove, the scene where we get an inside view by the bonfire, a miraculous geographical resemblance to Dolphins is present. I think if more Japanese and people around the world knew about this mass slaughter that it would stop. We need to show this film to as many people as we can and take action... I am praying that this will stop... maybe we need to play dolphin singing- we need to touch the hearts of people the way we have been touched...maybe stand outside of dolphin seaquariums and educate people. The Japanese government doesn't want the west to tell it what to do, they are also threatened by dolphins eating the diminishing fish supply. It is reprehensible that people are being given mercury dolphins to eat- without them even knowing it. Maybe the shame of this will stop them. I have to say that watching The Cove was horrific. I cannot believe that humans are capable of harming such a beautiful creature. These whale killers are ruining the relationships that humans can share with dolphins. They do not have the right to take life away, I hope that a lot of us can come together with this and stop it. If we can't prevent this from happeneing imagine all the other even more grave events that we'll have to overcome and so far I'm afraid to see what is going to happen to humanity in the future. I want to help make a difference.

I agree with what Mitzy posted below - "I am not proud to be a human". My partner and I often share the same feeling. Every time we are made aware that yet another species has been pushed to extinction, yet another habitat destroyed and yet another effort to save animals sabotaged we feel ashamed of being humans. When consumers turn a blind eye on the systematic abuse of our domesticated animals, and when the Japanese fishermen carry out, joke and laugh about such cruelties against one of the most magnificent wild ones I can not help asking this question: Where is humanity headed? Whether allowing horrific activities like this to happen is the result of mass ignorance or that of the widely held belief that as "higher beings" we humans have the right to murder animals is still up for debate. I hope it's the former. The film crew's brave deeds and faith on individuals' impact are truly infectious and inspiring, I wish to express my gratitude for their sacrifice and devotion, and for offering many of us a glimpse of hope.

Our whole family enjoyed this film and would like to thank the brave people invovled in this movie, making the world more aware is very important and it seriously took couragous people to complete films of this nature. AGAIN A SINCERE THANK YOU FROM ONTARIO CANADA "SAVE THE DOLPHINS!!!!"

How utterly appalling. I'm truly saddened today to see these despicable acts from those who continue to murder these beautiful and innocent trustworthy dolphins and their family members. Shame on those in Japan who choose to turn a blind eye to this horrific tragedy. I held the Japanese people and nation in high regards until today when I have watched "The Cove" documentary film. Most of the Japanese people don't know about it before but they will now and the question becomes will they stand up and do what is right, just and humane that is the mark of a great society or will they cower to indifference. I know they are capable but are they willing. I pray all Japanese do the right thing and spread the TRUTH of this to everyone they know and change the course of a people's conscience otherwise the stench of shame will spread as more and more people around the world community find out about this from watching the film and sharing the story with all their friends and family. That is what I'm doing and I encourage everyone who cares to do the same.

Humans must learn that we should not have the right to kill over and over again just for our own benefit. We are slowly destroying the earth and it doesn't look like people are even trying to slow down. I am not proud to be a human, we have done nothing good for this world.

My wife and I just watched your film and we are horrified by the acts of "Private Space" and every person in Taiji with the stomach to watch this go on, cover it up and then laugh openly about it. I am sure that there are many people who don't know about these horrible acts or are too afraid to stand up and stop it if only for the loss of their jobs or persecution. Before passing judgment on everyone there you must ask what you would do if your society deemed it acceptable. I commend the brave actions of everyone who made this film possible. I sit by in the comfort of my little worlds bubble, all the while the world in it's infinite ability to show it's lack of concern for our planet surrounds me like a warm blanket. Like a sheep in the heard all we do is follow, we the MOST intelligent life force on the earth sit by and blindly look away. Its seems beauty has fallen to its knees begging for a savior. Not a god, just someone to care. Not just this issue alone but so many issues need addressing in a proper manor, other than politically posturing. We must take back what is ours before the powers that be take us all down in the greed and lust for money and power in such twisted a manor.

I saw the documentary two days ago.The inhumane pictures are still before my eyes.I cry for the dolphins.I curse the foolish people in Taiji.And I will show all my respects to the brave people who told us the truth in Taiji!

The best film I've seen in a long time, well done. As to the cove I say we load it with TNT and block it off. Why do we humans disregard animal life as though it means nothing? Here's to hoping this stupidity will end................SOON!

Just seen the documentary - I am truely appalled! I will be inviting everyone I know to fight against this and to sign up for any petitions. Absolutely horrific. I'm not usually drawn to tears with many activist missions but this certainly needs to be addressed and soon!
