Charlie Wilson's War

A Passion for the Underdog

Charlie Wilson's War is a testament to the power of the individual to bring about change. Taught as a young boy to help the oppressed, Charlie dedicated his life to helping the underdog. After observing first-hand how the Afghan people were treated by the invading Soviets, Charlie decided he had to do something to liberate the people of Afghanistan The Social Action Campaign for Charlie Wilson's War is rooted in the aftermath of this war, where its effects are not only present in the physical landscape of Afghanistan, but also in the bodies and minds of the men and women who were deployed years later to serve there and subsequently in Iraq, including those serving there today.
