Last night Ashley Judd was honored as USA TODAY’s fourth annual Hollywood Hero. Every year recognition is given to recognize an exceptional entertainment industry humanitarian. USA TODAY editor John Hillkirk presented it to Judd for her tireless work as a Global Ambassador for YouthAIDS, the education and prevention program of PSI (Population Services International).
Here is a video diary made by Ashley doing work for YouthAIDS in Asia.
YouthAIDS uses media, pop culture, music, theatre and sports to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and reach 600 million young people in more than 60 countries with life-saving messages, products, services and care.
Last year’s recipient Magic Johnson told USA TODAY “After I received the award last year. I said, ‘The next person has to be beautiful.’ They have to care about the community, give back to the community, do it with passion, love and a big heart. When I found out it was Ashley Judd, it couldn’t have been a better person.” Agreed. I really like Ashley Judd. She radiates good energy and has done so much good work. Congratulations, Ashley, you deserve this award!
