Admittedly I don’t know a thing about A Single Man except that it was directed by Tom Ford and that it stars Julianne Moore and Colin Firth.  After watching the trailer below I almost don’t want to know anything else about it and this I mean as the highest praise. The thing is I really like the trailer and I love that I don’t know a thing about the plot of the movie and only have an idea of what the film feels like.

The dialogue-less trailer below is beautiful, has a great rhythm and as would be expected in a movie directed by Tom Ford the costumes look amazing.  And I mean isn’t it exciting to walk into the theater and to have a sense of mood and time and place and nothing else and to be surprised?

Sigh, isn’t Julianne Moore amazing? And I cannot wait to see Colin Firth in this role. I always adore him but it looks like this might be the role of his lifetime!
