Worried about your kiddies getting lost? Then maybe you should get the “Little Buddy Tracker.” This new GPS tracking device available at Best Buy can be placed in your kids lunchbox or backpack and will alert you if your child leaves the premises of where he/she is suppose to be via text message. Parents can go online and see where they are and they can also set an “acceptable area” for the kid to roam.
The UK version of the tracker called Kinderguard came out a few years back is reported to be doing well. However the Kinderguard is a tad more technical than “Little Buddy Tracker” as it measures your child’s vitals and alerts you if their heart rate, respiration or any other body isn’t functioning properly.
While I see the safety purpose in such a device, it also scares me that we have now developed easy ways to track people. What will prevent people from sneaking such devices into loved ones cars, brief cases or purses? What are your thoughts?

The problem with this is that it can be used in so many illegal ways. In a Domestic Violence situation it can be used byt the abuser to track his/her victim. Technology is an awesome tool but I guess we have to realize that with technology comes great responsibility to use it wisely. But we can not expect an abuser to take responsibility. I would not use this device. I know where my kids are - That is called good parenting.
