As a twitter lover (embarrassing but true) and environment lover I coudn’t help but click on an item that was named “Birds Gone Green–a tweet for the environment” while perusing through Etsy. And when I did I was met with adorable paper birds made out of recycled products that could be used for a variety of things!
PS, it’s in the details‘ Birds Gone Green are created from recycled magazine pages, vintage book paper and paint chip tags–making them perfect for my Etsy Pick of the Day. More specifically:
•set includes eight handcut and hand-assembled birds
•each set will be unique–the birds shown are an example of the types of patterns you will be receiving*
•birds are cut from magazine pages and backed with a solid color paint chip for stability
•beaks are cut from a paint chip tag
•wings are cut from vintage book paper… a 1904 American School Songs book
•a tiny button is added as an eye
•four birds are left-facing and four birds are right-facing
•birds measure about 2.5 inches from beak to tail and 1.5 inches from back to belly
•Birds Gone Green will come beautifully packaged–a perfect gift for yourself or someone special! I have included a bonus idea for reusing the packaging inside the bag–don’t forget to check it out when your birdies arrive.
