I’ve been pretty vocal about my frustration with those folks boycotting Whole Foods and protesting in crazy ways. So when I watched the episode below on The Daily Show, I couldn’t have been happier. In the show’s second segment Wyatt Cenac interviews Mark Rosenthal, one of the guys behind the Whole Foods boycotts. He also looks into “the buycott” those folks who want people to support Whole Foods. Either way Cenac seems to suggest that it’s kind of impossible to only support good companies and that Whole Foods isn’t actually that evil.
As the man at the end of the segment says, you can support health care and you can support Whole Foods.
In my mind I think people should try to be as informed as possible and do the best they can when deciding on a product or store. When it comes to healthcare and Whole Foods, I think the answer lies in calling Senators/Congressmen, not in discouraging people from buying organic food.
So definitely give a watch below. The Cenac segment is second but you’ll surely be entertained by the Bush/Cheney centric first segment.
