Happy Birthday, Ric O’Barry! I wrote an e-mail to President Obama encouraging him to see the film, The Cove, after hearing it reviewed on the radio show Fresh Air on NPR, National Public Radio. I encouraged him to do all that he can to end the slaughter and capture of dolphins and whales for meat or entertainment/torture in parks, such as Sea World. I recently heard a brief news story that Sea World was sold to Blackstone. It had been owned by the beer company, AnheiserBush, and the liquor store chain, BevMo. Animal rights supporters should boycott those companies. On another topic: my e-mail was hacked today, I could not send it (to the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (they have an excellent set up, visit their web site). SaveJapanDolphins.org may gain more supporters by showing The Cove at the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco (or somewhere nearby, same audience). Also, before/after stadium crowds at rock concerts. Maybe Bono would do it. Fans should e-mail their favorite musicians to ask them to screen The Cove, before/middle/after shows in stadiums.
Lots of ideas…probably nothing new, but it might help.
